Few thoughts came to my mind, that I want to share. Maybe it adds value for some readers:

I started analyzing the internet and it‘s impact on society since 1994. Blogging or writing online was one of the first things that appeared and it wasn‘t a business model. Putting up a website needed skill, and the internet was mostly populated with scientists.

It is amazing that now everybody can join medium and make money, given the passion and commitment like Sinem Günel.

And the best of it is, those who treat writing like a profession can create a serious income stream.

The internet evolves into a great opportunity for everybody and setting up an own business that creates money was never easier for everybody than today.

On top of that the internet is the best stepping stone into the professional world, as it gives deep insight into the values of businesses and the people who run it.

Thus, the marketing will change. Everybody with content online like on Medium, YouTube, Podcasts or similar, will have more success in finding the right customers than those who don’t.

As all of this is still young, nobody should worry to much about professionalism. What makes the internet lovely is, that there is more interest to see how people tick than how well they modeled the content.

Its a great world we live in.
