Hello October, We Had Better Days Together …
A letter of hope
I love running. When I am in my hometown, my favorite route is in the parks of Schönbrunn Palace.
On one of my outings in October 2015, I shot this picture.
It was October 31, 2015, at 9 am with an iPhone 6, rear camera — to be exact.
It was magic.
I had some difficult years behind me — job loss and challenges in my life. Instead of moving in together, marriage and family, I discovered that my partner — the person I wanted to trust for the rest of my life — had lied to me and betrayed me for years.
Getting hit in professional and private life simultaneously is hard to digest.
Running always was my antidote to life’s toxicity.
The picture is unedited. The light on this particular morning was perfect, and the entire alley was glowing in this magic light. Amazingly the picture resembled the exact color the leaves in the alley had this day.
Life’s events might be hard and unfair sometimes — like Matthew McConaughey said in his motivational speech:
Life is not easy, it is not fair, it never was and never will be
