One of the best examples of moving too fast is the dating scene in the movie "A Beautiful Mind." Since we both know what we want, let's skip the mating part and go straight to the three-letter word.

When they're ready, you can move to the next step:

First high-level info to spark curiosity
First 30-minute meeting
First deep-dive workshop
Getting a first term sheet
Starting due diligence
Negotiating the deal terms – commercial, legal, technical
Closing the deal
Receiving the money
Attending the first board meeting with your new investor
