The internet shifts gears. As you describe - the internet up to 2020 was mostly empty.

Just creating any kind of content found its audience.

Since content doesn't vanish - there is enough generic writing, videos, podcasts already out there.

I totally agree. Changing scope is the right way to go. It is also what Neil Patel recommends.

Focus on more quality, less quantity.

Bring something novel to the table - your perspective for example. It is unique and new.

Focus on expressing yourself - it will help in selling whatever you are already selling.

etc.

Be creative, bring more quality into the production is my take on the transition of the internet.
