this is the part that I miss most of the time in deep tech companies.
Tagging a scientist business developer isn't enought.
Sending them to a quick weekend "MBA" seminar - isn't sufficient either.
Get experienced business people on board who have already buildt companies, done deals and closed funding rounds.
Close your knowledge gap and show that you can do both: identifying gaps, and hiring A-players.
Fail in this part, and reaching out to investors is a waste of time.
