What do you mean by a 1 billion dollar business—revenues or valuation?
I don't think it's possible.
The problem on the revenue side is that even companies with teams are using AIs to increase their productivity. When the tide rises for everyone, the rules of the game remain the same.
Why would customers buy from a one-person operation when they can buy from a team? If the one person dies, the company collapses, while a team can easily replace a single member.
On the valuation side, nobody wants to buy a one-person company for similar reasons. If that one person disappears, all the knowledge goes with them.
I don't think we'll see one-person companies reach a billion dollars in revenue or valuation.
