Why I love exercising
Running, Yoga and stuff
Have you ever heard someone saying: “Why should I exercise. I am too old. I will never achieve anything significant with it.”
Let’s face it I am above 45. It´s the second half of life. I do think age is just a number. But let´s face it. It is highly unlikely, that I will become a champion in MMA. Or a world-class ballet dancer. Or will achieve a sub-2-hour marathon. So why exercising? Why running?
Staying healthy
Ah yes, the no brainer argument. Of course. Everybody knows that. Exercising is the number 1 thing that doctors should prescribe. It really helps to stay healthy. From controlling weight over combating health conditions like stroke, diabetes, depression or anxiety to putting a spark into the sex life.
It is scientifically proven. Mayo Clinic publishes a lot of material on that topic regularly (see link below). Staying healthy is a great thing. And for me, there is another one.
Success is a process
Every time when I set an exercise goal, I put in a focused 15-minute session every day. Just focusing on this one exercise. And still, at my age, I am pretty amazed to feel the huge difference only after 2–3 weeks of keeping up with this plan. Only 15 minutes a day makes a huge difference.
